Capsized Boat Slowing Traffic Along I-90
The boat was capsized alongside the I-90 bridge near Mercer Island.
MERCER ISLAND, WA - I-90 drivers should watch out for an emergency situation along I-90 this morning involving a capsized boat. The boat turned over in Lake Washington along the eastbound lanes of I-90 near the Mercer Island high rise.
State Patrol spokesman Rick Johnson said the boaters were able to make it out of the water safely, but advised that state patrol and WSDOT were in the far right lane tending to the vessel. The boat appeared to be a kayak or row boat, Johnson said.
Expect slowdowns in the eastbound lanes this morning.
