Dozens Of Drunk Boaters Arrested During SeaFair: Police
SeaFair weekend is over, but some boaters are waking up to more than a bad hangover.

MERCER ISLAND, WA - SeaFair weekend is one of the busiest for boating on Lake Washington all year - and that means more opportunities for people to operate boats while drunk. Mercer Island police are reporting that officers arrested 58 people over the Seafair weekend for boating under the influence.
Mercer Island's marine patrol cruised Lake Washington all weekend looking for possible alcohol or drug violations. There were no boat-related deaths during SeaFair, and only one serious injury, according to police.
In addition to Mercer Island police, the Coast Guard and Washington State Patrol officers were out on the lake looking for boaters under the influence.
