Halloween Weekend Fun: 4 Things To Do On Mercer Island
The weekend before Halloween promises plenty of scary (and charitable) events around Puget Sound.

MERCER ISLAND, WA - This weekend, the last before Halloween, is the perfect time to dive into seasonal events. From charitable events to festivals to food drives, there are plently of Halloween events happening all over Puget Sound.
Here are some happening near you:
Fall 2018 Recycling Event - Sat 9 AM - The City's popular annual Fall Recycling Event is coming soon, rain or shine! Gather all your difficult-to-recycle materials and join us on October 27. We'll be in South Luther Burbank Parking Lot NOT the usual Boat Launch location. Entry is FREE, but some unusual items incur a small fee (see flyer). Sorry, rain barrels are sold out til spring.

Fall Festival - Sun 3 PM · Mercer Island Presbyterian Church · Mercer Island - Join MIPC and Pebble Preschool for an afternoon of fun at the Fall Festival! Families are sure to enjoy "trunk"-or-treating, cookie decorating, bouncy houses, festive crafts, and more! Costumes are definitely welcome as there will be a costume parade! Don't forget to bring your bags/buckets to collect "trunk"-or-treat goodies! This event occurs in the MIPC parking lot and gymnasium. During Fall Festival, we will be collecting items for the Mercer Island Food Bank. Please consider bringing an item to donate. Suggested items include: canned fruit, chunky Campbell's soup, pasta sauce, ramen, tuna, baking supplies, Hamburger Helper products, toiletries, & toilet paper.
The Night of a Thousand Scares - Sat 7 PM · Youth Theatre Northwest · Mercer Island - Get into the Halloween spirit with two tales of terror. Join Old Nancy, the Witch of Salem and her faithful feline sidekick, Satan, for a spooky story presented in vintage radio style—complete with live sound effects! Then be among the first to see the world premiere of YTN's original horror film, Midsummer Madness. It promises to be a fright-tastic evening of fun.

21st Annual Halloween Party & Food Drive - Sat 12 PM · Mercer Island Martial Arts · Mercer Island - Please join us for our 21st Annual Halloween Party and Food drive. Our goal is to fill up the Mercer Island Youth and Families Food Pantry. Just 10 items for the food bank gets you in the door. Items can be dropped off here at Mercer Island Martial Arts between now and November 2nd. This is one of our best parties of the year. We will have a huge bounce house, a Demo from our 2018/19 Demo Team (2pm), Costume Contests (2:30pm), Board Breaking and Homework Winners (3:30pm).
