I-90 Closed Westbound Due To High Winds
WSDOT closed the bridge around 2 p.m. Sunday due to high wind and waves.

MERCER ISLAND, WA - Westbound I-90 remained closed as of 4 p.m. Sunday due to hazardous conditions on the floating bridge. High winds and waves were lapping the bridge, according to WSDOT. All drivers headed westbound are being diverted at Island Crest Way on Mercer Island.
WSDOT did not immediately say when the westbound lanes would reopen.
**DRIVER ALERT** The WB I-90 floating bridge is temporarily closed due to high winds & waves. WB traffic must exit at Island Crest Way on Mercer Island. This closure is necessary to prevent damage to the bridge. There's currently no ETA for reopening. EB I-90 remains open. pic.twitter.com/9BCFJmbDRb
