Mercer Island School District Lands Communication Awards
The district earned awards for video communications and its superintendent search.

MERCER ISLAND, WA - The Mercer Island School District has been awarded national and state awards for excellence in communications, according to a statement from the district. One award is the Golden Achievement Award from the National School Public Relations Association.
This was awarded based on the district maintaining high standards in its search for a superintendent. The district conducted a thorough survey of the community when looking for a new leader.
"You are one of a select group of winners and we again congratulate you and the leadership of your district for being a leader in school communication," said Richard Bagin, executive director of NSPRA.
