Mercer Island High School softball beat Federal Way 8-7 on Wednesday.

The winning pitcher was Mercer Island's M. Peyou.

The next varsity softball game will be at Garfield High School in Seattle at 4 p.m.  Friday at Bobby Morris Field, Seattle.
