Police Search For Owner Of Sloth Found In Thief's Car
Mercer Island police are trying to find the owner of this portrait of a sloth, which was found in the car of a suspected burglar.

MERCER ISLAND, WA - Is someone out there missing a three-toed sloth?
During an investigation of a suspected mail thief, Mercer Island police found this framed image of a sloth - and they want to return the portrait of the majestic animal to its rightful owner.

Earlier in February, police arrested two people suspected in a series of mail thefts around the island. Police found the pair hanging out in the West I-90 Lid Park just after midnight on Feb. 11. After investigating, police discovered that they were in possession of stolen mail, but had to get a warrant to search their car.
The two suspects are a 35-year-old woman from Seattle and a 24-year-old man from Brier, which is near Mountlake Terrace. They arrested the pair on suspicion of mail theft and other felonies.
