Receiver Renovates Island Corporate Center

The current owners of one of Mercer Island's largest office buildings is moving ahead with a slate of renovations to "refresh" it.

The building was forced into receivership in 2012 and Talon Portfolio LLC was appointed to own and manage it. Talon leasing director Roger Wright said the building's foyer would be modernized, with new materials, seating areas and a fireplace. Upper level corridors would also be renewed with new materials.

Built in 1987 and located at 7525 SE 24th Street, Island Corporate Center is Mercer Island's second-largest office building (Farmers Insurance/New World Life is the largest) and holds about 1/5 of the city's office space.

The building is managed by Pinnacle Real Estate.
