Robbery At Mercer Island Ice Cream Shop: Police

The robbery happened around 8 p.m. Friday, according to Mercer Island police.

MERCER ISLAND, WA - The Baskin Robbins ice cream shop along 78th Avenue Southeast was robbed Friday night, according to Mercer Island police. The robbery happened around 8 p.m., and the suspect was not caught.

According to police, a man entered the store along the 2900 block of 78th Avenue Southeast wearing a mask and demanded money. He did not have a weapon, according to witnesses.

A K9 unit from Redmond responded to try and track down the suspect, but he wasn't located. Police said the suspect was a man who was about 6 feet tall.
