Survey Work For Sewer Upgrade Coming This Month
Beginning as early as April 16, crews will conduct survey and soil sampling work to evaluate soil and groundwater conditions.

From King County Wastewater Treatment Division: King County Wastewater Treatment Division is continuing field investigations to inform design of a sewer upgrade project in Mercer Island and Bellevue. Beginning as early as April 16, crews will conduct survey and soil sampling work to evaluate soil and groundwater conditions along residential streets in the project area, adjacent to the I-90 Trail and near the Mercer Island Boat Launch.

What you can expect for survey work
- Work hours 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays only, beginning April 16
- Work is expected to last half a day at each location, depending on field conditions.
- Flaggers will direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic around the work site, as necessary.
- Survey crews will use a tripod and handheld survey equipment at each location after potholes are dug.

- Work hours 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays only, beginning April 16.
- Noise from the drill rig used to take soil samples, work equipment and trucks.
- When work is complete, each site will be restored according to City of Mercer Island standards.
