Wind Advisory Issued For Mercer Island: Week Ahead Forecast

MERCER ISLAND, WA - A classic Western Washington windstorm will help up begin the workweek. The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory all day Monday with gusts up to 55 MPH expected. That means power outages and downed trees are possible throughout the day.

On top of that, it's going to rain all week. Showers will be heaviest at the beginning of the week along the I-5 corridor. The mountains will get plenty of snow this week with levels down around 4,000 feet, according to the NWS.

Monday: Rain. High near 52. Windy, with a south wind 24 to 31 mph, with gusts as high as 43 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Monday Night: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a low around 45. Breezy, with a south wind 24 to 29 mph decreasing to 16 to 21 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Tuesday: Rain. The rain could be heavy at times. High near 51. Breezy, with a south wind 22 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Tuesday Night: Rain. The rain could be heavy at times. Low around 44. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Wednesday: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 47. Breezy. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Thursday: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 44.
