1 Killed, 1 Injured In Late Night Spanaway Crash, DUI Suspected

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash late Sunday night. Now, the causing driver has been arrested, accused of DUI.

SPANAWAY, WA — One person has died and another is critically injured after a car crashed into a motorcycle late Sunday night in the Spanaway area.

As the Washington State Patrol explains, the crash happened just after 9 p.m. on State Route 7, near the intersection with 268th St E, south of Spanaway.

The motorcyclist was killed by the collision. The other driver, a 30-year-old man, was critically injured and was rushed to a nearby hospital — but has also been placed under arrest, accused of driving under the influence.

Investigators have not released any further details on the cause of the crash.
