GRAHAM, WA — The annual Pierce County Fair at Pioneer Park in Graham kicks off on Aug. 8, and this year the fair is adding a new feature that will allow more people to take part in horseback riding.

Every year, the fair offers entertainment from music to food, and celebrates Pierce County's agricultural offerings. You can watch 4-H members show off goats, alpacas, and dairy cattle — and of course there are tractor pulls.

"Reminiscent of agricultural fairs, the Pierce County Fair embraces our local riches. Situated amongst the firs and green grass, the fair offers a variety of favorites for visitors of all ages with carnival rides, food, 4-H exhibitions and displays, kids’ tractor pull, demonstrations, competitions, and so much more. Free nightly entertainment will be on hand by local favorite musicians and artists on the main stage," Pierce County Parks said in a press release about the fair.

The fair runs Aug. 8 to 11, 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and until 6 p.m. on Sunday. Admission for seniors, children, and adults costs $7, and $5 for disabled vets. You can find a full schedule of events, from 4-H to live music, on the fair website. Frontier Park is located at 21718 Meridian E.
