21 Guinea Pigs Rescued From Puyallup House Fire Need New Homes
Metro Animal Services is hoping to find new homes for 21 Guinea Pigs who were all recently rescued from a Puyallup house fire last week.
PUYALLUP, WA — Metro Animal Services is hoping to find new homes for 21 recently rescued Guinea Pigs.
All 21 of the Guinea Pigs were saved from a recent house fire on 9th Street Southwest in Puyallup. The fire decimated the home, injured two people and killed four Guinea Pigs and the family dog. Now rescuers need to find new places for the surviving 21 Guinea Pigs to stay.
"Due to this terrible situation the Guinea Pigs were surrendered to the shelter so we can find them new homes," Metro Animal Services said in a Facebook post explaining the issue. "Some of the Guinea pigs did suffer from some burns from the fire but they are healing with continued care."
