2nd Suspect In Deadly Puyallup Shooting Arrested In California
With this arrest, there are no further outstanding suspects.
PUYALLUP, WA — A second suspect has been arrested in connection with a deadly drive-by shooting in Puyallup earlier this month.
According to police this second suspect, a 22-year-old Puyallup resident, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service in Long Beach, California. He is being held in California on an arrest warrant for 1st degree murder. With his arrest, police say they believe everyone involved in the shooting has been captured.
The incident in question happened the afternoon of March 15, when a large police response was called to the 600 block of 8th St NW.

The first officers on scene say they found a number of spent shell casings and a 20-year-old victim, who was pronounced dead shortly afterwards. The resulting investigation closed roads in the surrounding area for hours.
Police have not identified the victim. On March 22, the first suspect was arrested.

Puyallup police say they do not believe this was a random shooting, and that there was never any danger to the general public. However, their investigation is ongoing.
"Detectives do not believe that there are any outstanding suspects related to the homicide investigation," the department said in a statement Tuesday. "Also, as we have mentioned before, Detectives do not believe that this was a random act of violence, and there is no safety concern for the community."
