39th Avenue SE Open to Holiday Traffic

You might see a change in traffic patterns next time you go shopping on South Hill. On November 20th, 39th Ave SE was opened to vehicles from Meridian to 5th St SE.  The speed limit is 25mph on this stretch of roadway until signal improvements and a final layer of asphalt are completed.  These final details are scheduled to be finished in Spring 2013.  When completed, the project will also feature a traffic signal at 39th Ave/5th St SE and the road will be striped for two lanes of traffic in either direction.
