72nd Street Project Postponed Through Weekend

The delay in the resurfacing project between Waller and Canyon roads east is to accommodate the Goodguys car show at the fair grounds.

PUYALLUP, WA — A county project to resurface 72nd Street East between Waller and Canyon roads east this weekend was postponed until July 29 to accommodate the Goodguys 32nd Pacific Northwest Nationals car show at the Washington State Fair events center.

Originally scheduled for July 24 through 26, the chipsealing work will now begin July 29; fog sealing will occur July 30 and 31.

The work is weather-dependent but expected to take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Lane restrictions will be in place during work hours, county officials said. Restriping of the newly resurfaced, three-lane street will occur in early August.
