Autumn Weather Coming To South Sound This Week
Unpack your parka, a stretch of cool, rainy weather starts Wednesday and will last for days.
PUYALLUP, WA — OK, it's time to pack it in. Labor Day is still a few weeks away, but we might as well kiss summer 2019 goodbye in Puget Sound.
So far this summer, we've mostly avoided the scorching 90-degree temperatures (and wildfires) of the past few summers in favor of the more typical temperatures in the 70s and 80s — and a few bouts of rain. But starting Wednesday, we'll fast-forward into October, with temperatures in the 60s and a good chance of rain on Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
According to the National Weather Service, there's a pretty sizable wet weather system approaching from the Pacific Ocean.

Fairly impressive weather system (for late summer) moving through the offshore waters tonight. One more dry & warm day ahead, but Wednesday will be rather damp & cool around Western Washington. That'll sharply contrast August 21st of last year when Seattle was in the lower 90s. pic.twitter.com/56mfFykN8W
