Canyon Road Repaving Project Set For Next Week

The project is likely to shift traffic overnight. Here's what to expect.

PUYALLUP, WA — The final repaving of Canyon Road E is set for next week.

Starting Monday night, crews will be repaving about a mile of the road from 99th St Ct E to 84th St E.

They'll be paving from 6 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday, then again from 6 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday.

The rest of the week they'll be working from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., repaving other roads where they intersect with Canyon in the area.

The county says Canyon and the intersecting roads will remain open for the week, but traffic is likely to be shifted around work areas. That in turn will cause delays, especially as the crew's trucks enter and exit the work areas.
