Closures On SR 512 July 29-Aug. 1

Paving projects will prompt traffic modifications on SR 512.

Watch out for delays on State Route 512, Interstate 5 and ramps from State Route 7 next week: the Washington State Department of Transportation's paving project will require nightly lane closures and speed reductions in both directions. 
The lane closures and paving work will occur between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. each Sunday through Friday throughout August, between I-5 and 104th Street. Striping work will continue through October. 

In addition to the lane closures, motorists can expect the following ramp closures next week:

·       10 p.m. Monday, July 29

o   Both ramps from SR 7 (Pacific Avenue) to westbound SR 512 will alternately close until 1 a.m. Tuesday, July 30. One ramp will always be open.

o   Northbound I-5 exit to SR 512 will close until 5 a.m. Tuesday, July 30. Motorists will be detoured via the South 56th Street interchange.

·       10 p.m. Wednesday, July 31

o   Westbound SR 512 exit to northbound I-5 closes until 1 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1. 

·       10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1

o   Westbound SR 512 ramp to northbound I-5 closes until midnight.

o   Northbound I-5 ramp to both directions of SR 512 closes until 4 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2. Motorists will be detoured via the South 56th Street interchange.

o   Eastbound SR 512 exit to northbound I-5 closes until 4 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2.

o   Westbound SR 512 exit to Steele Street closes until 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2.
