PUYALLUP, WA — Coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, which means there is even more reason to celebrate this Independence Day. July 4 is almost here, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you.

  • Let Freedom Ring! Puyallup's 3rd of July Celebration, featuring the Red, White, and KABOOM Drive-In Fireworks Celebration
  • Gig Harbor Wings and Wheels Air Show
    • Where: Tacoma Narrows Airport
    • When: July 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and July 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • JBLM's Independence Day Celebration
    • DOD ID cardholders only.
    • Where: Cowan and Memorial Stadiums
    • When: July 4, from 7 to 11 p.m.

  • Eatonville's Fireworks Display
    • Where: Eatonville Elementary School
    • When: July 3. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. with fireworks at 6 p.m.
    • The city will also host a parade on the 4th of July at noon.

  • Tacoma Rainiers Great American Weekend Firework Shows
    • Where: Cheney Stadium
    • When: July 3 at 7:05 p.m. and July 4 at 12:35 p.m.

Unfortunately, some annual events remain casualties of the pandemic. Tacoma will not be hosting its annual July 4 fireworks show. Steilacoom has also cancelled its annual parade and fireworks celebration, though it has announced a virtual fun run instead.
