Help ID Burglary Suspect In Edgewood: Police
Police say this man was caught red-handed burglarizing an Edgewood area residence before escaping arrest. Can you help identify him?

EDGEWOOD, WA — Edgewood police have asked local residents and nearby communities for help identifying a man who they say was caught on camera burglarizing a home off Freeman Road East last week.
According to police, the resident victim arrived home around 5:30 p.m. May 8 to find the man walking out of his yard carrying several of his personal belongings, including a locked handgun case. When the resident confronted the alleged burglar, the man fled into a nearby field.
When Pierce County deputies arrived, they were joined by officers from Edgewood, Milton, and Fife who all worked together to establish a containment perimeter. Afterward, a K9 unit was a dispatched to track down the wayward burglar.

Unfortunately for police and the resident, the K9 track was unsuccessful and the burglar has seemingly gotten away — for now.
On Thursday, the Edgewood Police Department shared home security video from the victim that appears to show the suspect arriving at the house. Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to call Edgewood police at 253-952-0275.
