Magnitude 3.2 Earthquake Hits Southwest Washington
The temblor struck near 2 a.m. Friday.

MORTON, WA - A small overnight earthquake shook the Mt. St. Helens area Friday. The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the quake hit at 1:54 a.m. about 20 miles southeast of Morton, and about 60 miles southeast of Olympia.
This was the second quake in the state overnight Friday. A small 2.5 magnitude quake struck near Freeland on Whidbey Island just after midnight.
