Overnight Lane SR 167 Lane Closure Begins Next Week

Crews will be working on SR 167 between Puyallup and Auburn next week, which will close lanes and lower speed limits in the area.

PUYALLUP, WA — Late night commuters in the Puyallup area will want to prepare for some potential delays along SR 167 next week.

The Washington State Department of Transportation says they'll have crews working overnight on nine miles of the 167 between Puyallup and Auburn every day next week.

All week, one lane of northbound SR 167 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. nightly. The speed limit will also be cut from 60 down to 45 mph along the 167 between the intersection with SR 161 and SR 18 in King County.

During the closure, WSDOT says the crews will be working to build a new northbound HOV lane.

Construction will wrap Friday, May 28.
