Pups Seized In Animal Cruelty Case Seek New Homes

PIERCE COUNTY, WA — The Pierce County Sheriff's Department and The Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County are teaming up to find new homes for nearly two dozen dogs in need.

As deputies explain, all 23 pit bull pups were recently recovered during an animal cruelty investigation. Since then, they have all been spayed or neutered and have gotten check-ups and any necessary medical care, so they're in tip-top shape.

Now, they just need new loving homes.

Anyone interested in adopting one of these lovable pups will need to fill out The Humane Society's pit bull adoption form.

To make sure these animals aren't abused again, applicants will also need to fill out another form agreeing to a comprehensive background check. Both forms can then be sent to adoptions@thehumanesociety.org.

Residents who can't adopt right now but who want to help support the puppies are also encouraged to consider donating to The Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County. The Humane Society is an open-admission shelter which does not turn away any animal, regardless of age or medical needs. Every year, they help nearly 10,000 pets across Pierce County.
