Puyallup School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Puyallup is September 5. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Puyallup School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 9/13: Early Dismissal (Fair Day)

October

• 10/12: No School for Students (Professional Development Day)
• 10/13: No School for Students (State In-Service)
• 10/18: Elementary Early Release (Conferences)
• 10/19 - 10/20: All Grades Early Release (Conferences)

November

• 11/9: All Grades Early Release (Student Learning)
• 11/10: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/17: Elementary Early Release (Grading Day)
• 11/22: All Grades Early Release (Professional Development)
• 11/23 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/4: End of Elementary First Trimester
• 12/18 - 1/1: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/12: All Grades Early Release (Student Learning)
• 1/15: No School (MLK Jr. Day)
• 1/31: End of Secondary First Semester
