PUYALLUP, WA — The first day of school in Puyallup is September 4 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you'll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP.

The Puyallup School District has released its 2019-2020 calendar for public schools. The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

  • Sept. 4: First day of school
  • Sept. 10: First day for Kindergarten

October

  • Oct. 11: No school (supplemental day)
  • Oct. 23, 24, and 25: Conferences

November

  • Nov. 11: No School (Veterans Day)
  • Nov. 27-29: No School - Thanksgiving Break

December

  • Dec. 23-31: No School - Winter Break

January

  • Jan. 1-3: No School - Winter Break
  • Jan. 20: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

  • Feb. 14 and 17: No School - Mid-Winter Break/President's Day

April

  • April 6-10: No School - Spring Break

May

  • May 25: No School - Memorial Day
  • May 26: No School (Unless Needed for Emergency Make Up Day)

June

June 16: Last Day of School - All Grades
