Puyallup School District Offers Free Books Through Summer Program

The district is offering free books to students 8 and under who attend a free summer reading program.

PUYALLUP, WA — Parents of young readers in Puyallup have an opportunity to snag some free books this summer thanks to the local school district.

Starting July 10, the Puyallup School District will begin a reading club that meets every other Saturday outside the district's administration building at 302 Second Street SE. At each reading club meeting, children age 8 or younger will be invited to come down and read a pair of children's books — and then take them home with them when they leave.

The program kicks off this Saturday with a reading of Marcus Pfister's classic book "The Rainbow Fish" and “Berenstain Bears: By The Sea”.
