ISSAQUAH, WA — An Issaquah family has reached out to Pierce County communities for help locating their 13-year-old runaway daughter.

Allison Larae Huffman ran away from her family's home July 2 after leaving a note for her grandmother indicating she had transportation and was safe, according to the King County Sheriff's Office.

Kathryn Rice, Allison's mother, told Patch that while Allison has left home before, she was never gone without contact for more than 24 hours, and typically would still be at school the following day.

Allison reportedly lives with Cerebral Palsy but does not take medication and is not considered to be in any medical danger. As a result of her disability, however, Allison has surgical scars on her legs and "distinct scissor walk," sheriff's officials said.

Allison is a blonde-haired, blue-eyed white girl, about 5-foot-5 and 110 pounds. She was last seen in Puyallup.

Patch originally reported Allison may also be in University Place, but Kathryn said those ties are either tenuous at best or entirely brand new and unknown to the family that has raised Allison for the past six years.

Kathryn also said it is possible Allison has dyed her hair since July 2.

Anyone who sees Allison or has any information on her whereabouts is asked to call their local police department, reference King County case No. C19025158.
