Sounder Fares Reduced For Low-Income, Youth, And Senior Riders
Starting this month, the Sounder has lowered prices for ORCA LIFT passengers and young riders to make the train more accessible.
PUYALLUP, WA — Starting this month, Sound Transit has lowered ticket fares for the Sounder regional commuter rail for select passengers.
The reduced fares apply for low-income adults on the ORCA LIFT program, young riders ages 6 to 18, and seniors 65 and older or riders with disabilities who have Regional Reduced Fare Permits.
Sound Transit says the change should make the train more accessible to the public, and simplifies their statewide fares by bringing them in line with fares for the Link light rail and express busses.
