PUYALLUP, WA — Police responded to a reported shooting at South Hill Mall Tuesday morning. No one was injured and one person is in custody.

Puyallup police officials on Twitter said one man apparently shot out the glass doors at Macy's to escape his burglary attempt. The suspect also fired additional shots as he tried to escape, officials said, but officers were able to make an arrest without firing their own weapons.

The mall will be closed to morning walkers and will not likely open on its regular schedule due to the extensive crime scene within, police said.
