TACOMA, WA — A Kubota U35 Mini Excavator and a Big Tex tilt-bed trailer were stolen early Sunday from a residence in the rural area of Waller, between Puyallup and Tacoma. On Monday, the Puget Sound Auto-Theft Task Force requested the community's help locating the property.

The equipment was reportedly stolen from a piece of property in the 3900-block of Waller Road East, just north of Tucci & Sons and the Dickson Co. Gravel Pit. It was apparently clear the thieves used the trailer to load up the excavator before hauling off both.

On Tuesday, Puget Sound ATTF updated its notice to report the excavator was recovered from the area of 72nd Street and Portland Avenue east in Tacoma. The trailer, however, is still missing.
