SWAT Team Called To Resolve Late-Night Frederickson Standoff
Deputies say a domestic violence suspect barricaded himself inside his home for hours Sunday night, and had to be retrieved by a SWAT team.

FREDERICKSON, WA — The Pierce County Sheriff's Department's SWAT team and K9 units were called in to resolve a standoff situation in the Frederickson area late Sunday night.
Just before 9 p.m. Sunday night deputies warned the public they would be blocking off several roads near the 3600 of 181st St E, where they were investigating a domestic violence incident.
According to the sheriff's department, the suspect refused to communicate with negotiators. It's unclear how long the investigation stalled, but ultimately the department chose to call in their SWAT team and K9 unit to clear the building.
