Wind Advisory In Effect Friday Afternoon, Evening
The National Weather Service issued a high wind warning Friday, advising residents to expect gusts up to 35 mph throughout the region.

SEATTLE - The National Weather Service office in Seattle on Friday announced a wind advisory is in effect until as late as 7 p.m. Gusts of 35 mph are expected throughout Pierce County and the southwest Puget Sound region.
Residents and commuters throughout the area should expect winds strong enough to knock down tree branches and power lines, and potentially make driving difficult.
The wind advisory comes ahead of continued rain expected throughout the region. With no real end in sight, we can expect wet days for at least the next week — as far out as most forecasts will go.
