$1 Rides Available In Redmond During Willows Road Rebuild

A major overhaul of Willows Road is set to begin in early July. The city is offering incentives to carpool during the work.

REDMOND, WA — One of the bigger road construction projects of the summer in Redmond is set to begin in just two weeks. To help commuters avoid delays, the city is offering $1 rides through the Waze carpooling app.

Beginning July 8, city crews will repave Willows Road between Northeast 90th and Northeast 124th streets, plus add new sidewalk ramps. The work will inevitably cause traffic delays between Redmond and Kirkland.

To help reduce those delays, Go Redmond is subsidizing Waze rides. All you have to do is download the Waze app and join the Willows Road carpool group. You can learn more about how the app works from Go Redmond.
