Captain Smartypants To Perform Benefit Concert in Redmond on September 29th

Proceeds to benefit PFLAG's scholarship program for graduating Eastside high school students and other youth-related services

Captain Smartypants is coming to town! Seattle's premiere ensemble Captain Smartypants will perform “Girl Crazy,” a harmonious and hilarious homage to musical divas, on September 29th, 7:30 pm at the Redmond Performance Arts Center (Redmond HS) in celebration of twenty years of education, advocacy, and support by PFLAG Bellevue/Eastside, a chapter of PFLAG National.

All proceeds will go to PFLAG Bellevue/Eastside's scholarship program and other youth services.

A vocal comedy group consisting of members of Seattle’s Men Chorus, Captain Smartypants has performed all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond, thrilling and delighting audiences from Washington DC to San Francisco.

Since their inception in 2000, they’ve performed with Ann Wilson, Jennifer Holliday, Kelli O’Hara, Kristin Chenoweth, Melissa Manchester, and Tituss Burgess. And Redmond High School students will soon join that prestigious list, as members of their theater group will perform the opening act.

The benefit is a fitting tribute to PFLAG Bellevue/Eastside and reflects its message of love and unity. For two decades this chapter has served residents of East King County communities, providing support, education, and advocacy, and serving as the extended family of the LGBTQ community. As their press release states, the concert will be entertaining, celebratory, and an opportunity to demonstrate strong support for LGBTQ persons, and their families, friends and allies in the community.
