DNR Monitoring Wildfire Burning Near Wenatchee

The Gun Range Fire near Wenatchee sparked up Thursday afternoon and quickly burned over 100 acres of land.

WENATCHEE, WA — The Washington State Department of Natural Resources is reporting one of the first major wildfires of the wildfire season just outside of Wenatchee.

The Gun Range Fire, so named because of its proximity to the Wenatchee Rifle and Revolver Club, sparked up early Thursday afternoon and quickly burned up roughly 100 acres of land.

There have been no reports of burned structures or evacuations near the fire thus far. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
