Lake Washington Schools Foundation Hires New Executive Director
Executive Director Helen Sernett brings strong credentials in fundraising and non-profit leadership.
We are thrilled to share with our community that the Lake Washington Schools Foundation Board of Trustees has named Helen Sernett, CFRE as the organization’s new executive director. In selecting Sernett, the board sought a leader with strong credentials in fundraising and non-profit leadership to match the growing needs of our high performing district, LWSD.
Sernett is a veteran fundraiser, having raised over $35 million for healthcare and education organizations including Bloodworks Northwest, Seattle Children’s Hospital Foundation and Seattle University. Sernett also chairs the Membership Committee and serves as a member of the Board of Directors at Advancement Northwest, the local chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Sernett is eager to engage with the broader community throughout the district in Redmond, Kirkland and Sammamish to ensure continued success and long term prosperity.
Together, we look forward to increasing our positive impact on the over 29,000 students in the Lake Washington Schools District.
