Music: CD Release at Grinders Hot Sands

Silver Lining, the “Neo-Retro” band headed up by Paul Sandoval and Kathe Davis, will host a release party for their second CD, Solo Together, at Grinders Hot Sands Italian restaurant, 19811 Aurora Ave N in Shoreline, WA 98133 on Saturday, July 16, 2016, 8-10 p.m. The second set will feature special guests, the classic rock band Los Orchids. Silver Lining began as the eclectic singer/songwriter duo of Paul Sandoval and Kathe Davis, with Davis on Terz, mandolin, guitar, percussion, and vocals. and Sandoval on guitar and vocals. On this CD, they are a full band, featuring Jim Moore on bass; Mary Sparks on drums, percussion, and vocals; Jan Elliot-Glanister on percussion and vocals; and special guest Steve Peterson on drums and vocals. Solo Together is a collection of songs with playful, laconic lyrics, rich harmonies, and a strong groove. Finishing out the night are special guests Los Orchids, playing with infectious energy, classic rock tunes like "Wooly Bully" by Sam the Sham and The Pharaohs.
