REDMOND, WA — A 139-unit multifamily building called The Bond opened Wednesday in Redmond's Marymoor Village area, according to the developers.

The Bond includes two five-story buildings located between East Lake Sammamish Parkway and Redmond-Fall City Road near 185th Court Northeast. The buildings sit on 1.25-acres of forested land, and the developer, MainStreet Property Group, touts that the complex is an easy walk to downtown and to Marymoor Park and Lake Sammamish.

The Bond sits just southeast of the Marymoor Village area. The city of Redmond is in the process of setting design standards for the neighborhood in anticipation of a light rail station that will open in 2024 along SR 520 near Northeast 70th Street. The city envisions an urban village sprouting up in an area dominated by industrial and office buildings.
