
Natasha Kacharia, a sophomore from Overlake School won two Golds at Ohio Cup held on April 28th-29th in Cleveland, Ohio. She stuck Gold in JWC (Junior World Class Figures - highest level of figures event under 18 category) and in Advanced Loops (highest level of Loops event).
In JWC Figures competition, each skater has to skate three figures and one loop. For Ohio Cup, the skaters has to skate Group II Figures ( 21B LIF-RIB Rocker, 36A ROF-LIF Paragraph Double Three, 38 B LOF-RIF Paragraph Loop and 40 A ROF-LIB Paragraph packet).
Kacharia was 6th in United States Roller Skating Figures Nationals JWC (Junior World Class) last year. She is skating 5 days a week for 3-4 hours every day including Sundays. She said,” Skating is a part of me. I love skating. I hope I can win this year US Nationals to represent the country in China in August this year”.
