Redmond Firefighters Illuminate Local Ballerina's Snowy Performance
A young ballerina was performing outside her home during Thursday's snowstorm when firefighters arrived on the scene.
REDMOND, WA - Tchaikovsky could compose a whole ballet out of this story: a young girl lost on a snowy night is rescued by some local heroes. But it actually happened last week in Redmond.
A young ballet dancer, Emily, was out Thursday night dancing in front of her home in the Education Hill neighborhood as snow fell. The Redmond Fire Department just happened to be in the area surveying the snowfall. The firefighters turned on their lights to illuminate the scene and created a moment of magic.
The dancer's father called the scene "a special moment." Here's the photo the city's public safety department posted on Facebook:
