Redmond Needs Volunteers For Lodging Tax Advisory Committee

Redmond is looking to recruit three residents to serve on the lodging board, which makes recommendations for tourism and special events.

REDMOND, WA — Redmond is looking to fill three spots on its seven-member Lodging Tax Advisory Board, tasked with advising the mayor and city council on tourism, special events and other efforts funded through lodging tax revenue.

In general, candidates for the board should be interested in promoting Redmond's tourism industry or involved in programs that are funded by the tax. The city said one or two vacancies must be filled by someone representing a business that collects a lodging tax, like a hotel.

All positions on the volunteer board are for four-year terms.
