Redmond Police Catch Man Accused In January Bank Robbery

After two months of investigation, police arrested a man believed to have stolen thousands of dollars from a KeyBank in January.

REDMOND, WA — Redmond detectives this month arrested a 37-year-old man accused of robbing a KeyBank in early January. In a news release Thursday, the police department said the man gave a bank teller a note demanding money on January 4 at the KeyBank located on the 16400 block of Redmond Way.

According to police, the man escaped the area with several thousand dollars, and a K-9 track in the area at the time could not locate him. Eventually, detectives were able to identify their suspect through witness interviews, fingerprints and surveillance video.

Police caught up with the man at an apartment complex on March 18 and arrested him without incident. He will face charges related to robbery.
