REDMOND, WA — Western Washington is in for a bit of a soaker Friday, along with significant snowfall in the mountain passes, according to National Weather Service. While a strong windstorm appears unlikely, forecasters said gusty conditions Thursday night will continue through Friday, peaking between 20 and 25 mph around Seattle, Everett and Tacoma.

Stretches of heavy rain in the lowlands and snow in the mountains will linger through Friday night before turning more showery Saturday and Sunday.
