Redmond Will Get New SR 520 Exit This Week
The new off-ramp will aim to reduce congestion in the Overlake area near the main Microsoft campus.
REDMOND, WA — A new off-ramp along SR 520 in the Overlake area will open Thursday, but there will be construction delays coming up this week to prepare for the opening.
On Thursday, the eastbound off-ramp to Northeast 40th and Northeast 51st streets will be separated to reduce backups. Here's what to expect this week as far as construction before the new ramp opens:
Monday - Wednesday: The SR 520 HOV lane between Northeast 40 and Northeast 51st streets will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.

Monday - Wednesday: The eastbound left lanes of SR 520 at 148th Avenue Northeast will close from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.
Wednesday - Friday: The SR 520 HOV lane between Northeast 40 and Northeast 51st streets will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.
