Survey On Redmond Transportation Needs Open Now

From King County: People who live or travel in Redmond neighborhoods are invited to take a survey about community transportation needs. This survey will be open May 15-28.

Metro and the City of Redmond will use the feedback received to develop potential solutions that Metro’s Community Connections program can help provide, with the goal of improving transportation options in areas that are not well served by fixed-route bus service.

King County Metro and the City of Redmond have formed a stakeholder working group for this project. Recently Metro and Redmond teamed up on the Redmond LOOP service, a weekday shuttle circulating every 45 minutes. The pilot project was recently concluded, and service was not extended due to low ridership. The working group will take lessons learned from that pilot project and work to develop replacement options that will better serve the community.

Key stakeholders—including seniors, businesses, and community advocates—are participating in the working group. This group will help us increase community awareness and involvement in this project, identify transportation gaps in this area of Redmond, and inform the development of mobility solutions to improve the community’s transportation services.
