The Landing Shopping Center Reopens

The Landing Shopping center on North 10th is reopening to the public after a months-long shutdown due to the coronavirus.

RENTON, WA — The Landing shopping center is reopening to customers after several months of forced closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The shopping center announced the move Monday, saying that as King County has moved to Phase 2 of Gov. Inslee's Safe Start plan, their stores have been approved to begin a phased-in reopening with some new coronavirus safety measures.

The Landing is owned by Vestar, who says they're excited to be able to reopen to business once again.

“Our retailers and restaurants are incredibly happy to be given the go-ahead to re-open their doors to the public and welcome guests back into their establishments.," said Heath McCue, Regional Marketing Director for Vestar. "Shopping and dining out are an important way of connecting with one another and a part of the human experience we all truly treasure.”

Under Phase 2 regulations, all in-store retail businesses are limited to 30 percent capacity. Restaurants are also limited to half capacity, and must have tables spaced six feet apart for physical distancing. The Landing says they're allowing stores to reopen as they feel comfortable, and to individually determine their operating hours. Many of the restaurants and retailers will also continue to sell to-go services for delivery or curbside pickup as well.
