Pedestrian Killed In Tuesday Morning Crash On State Route 167
Troopers said a driver struck a pedestrian in the road Tuesday morning. Investigators do not suspect impairment.

RENTON, WA — A pedestrian was struck and killed Tuesday morning by a driver along State Route 167 in the Renton area, according to Washington State Patrol. Trooper Rick Johnson confirmed the crash shortly before 7:30 a.m. on the northbound lanes of SR 167, just north of South 180th St.
Johnson said the driver did not appear to be impaired, and the pedestrian was in the roadway when they were hit. The person who died will be formally identified by the King County Medical Examiner's Office.
During the investigation, all northbound traffic was diverted around the crash scene. The road fully reopened around 8:15 a.m.
