Renton Municipal Arts Commission to provide small arts and culture grants

The Renton Municipal Arts Commission (RMAC) is reaching out to the Renton arts and cultural community with a funding opportunity. The commission is accepting proposals for the 2013 “Make Art Happen in Renton” Small Grant Program, which supports projects that increase opportunities for arts and culture activities. The grant opportunities are consistent with Renton’s Arts & Culture Master Plan, which was adopted by the Renton City Council in August 2010 and can be viewed on the Arts & Culture Master Plan webpage at ArtsCommission.rentonwa.gov. The Arts Commission anticipates awarding 10 awards for up to $250 each to artists and organizations promoting art within Renton. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and projects must be completed by December 31, 2013.
